That afternoon is one of the happiest memories of my life (Viv Albertine)

Wie geht's?

I'm really enjoying Viv's second volume of her memoirs.

She is one brave feisty inspirational character!

This bit, page 148 - the page I'm up to, is about a memory - when she returned to see her grandmother's house and is worth repeating here as it made me reflect on my grandmother (not as emotionally cold as Viv's but still an odd fish) and my happiest afternoon memories.

Vida is her daughter btw.
Vida and I played with the drifts of fallen blossom for an hour, tossing them in the air like confetti, piling them into heaps, constructing castles and pathways and tucking them into our hair. That afternoon is one of the happiest memories of my life.
I love that she transforms the fraught grandmother experiences into a joyous occasion with her daughter.

I'm so tired (The Beatles)

Wie geht's?

Weary (when you're weary, feeling small) after a lot of disrupted weeks with travel for work and tired (my mind is on the blink).

Riding the 50 to work. Driving to and from Gisborne in two days. Attending three days of meetings in Palmerston North.

Cream crackered.

Why is that? I'm sitting still, and yes I'm concentrating as I'm driving but should I be that tired from the experience?

Be interested in the science on this.

In the meantime - my brain hurts. I'm off to bed!

Love when you can, cry when you have to, be who you must, that's a part of the plan (Dan Fogelberg)

Wie geht's?

Feels like Back To The Future at our place in Takapau.

We've been clearing up overhanging trees in the horse paddocks and my thumbs are sore and my body feels like it does after doing this like of work - sawing branches, totting them to a burn pile.

Good news is the process of tidying has begun! Which means the end is in sight!

Picture hanging has been going on for a few days now, more to do, and I've also finished making new shelves for ARF (Abbey Road Four) and sorted out the vinyl.

Next steps are reliant on our shipment from the UK arriving - should be by the end of the week with any luck.

Pictures to come!

Sisters are doing it for themselves!

Wie geht's?

Big sister Fanfa was in Palmerston North recently, visiting Jade, William, and Asher. It was a great visit and we loved catching up!

Speaking of Asher. I loved a recent message from Jade saying, "Asher had a terrible night. Then in the morning he had the audacity to yawn. What. A. Jerk."

Yeah, so, I know how that feels Jade...

Looks like an angel...

...yawn.
